Meet Pals
Personal agents with their own computers. They work in the background, remember how you like things, and ask before anything important.
Most AI tools answer a question and wait for the next one. Pals are different: you give a pal a job, and it keeps working on it after you've moved on.
A pal is a personal agent with a computer of its own. It has a real browser that stays logged in, a workspace for files and code, your apps, and a memory. You talk to it in a chat, and most of the time all you hear from it is a short note when something is done.
What a pal can do
- Browse like you would. Each pal has its own Chrome. It signs in, reads pages, clicks and fills in forms. You can watch it work and take over whenever you want.
- Use your apps. Gmail, Calendar, Slack, Notion, GitHub and about 1,500 more, through Composio.
- Run on a schedule. "Every weekday at 8, brief me on my inbox and calendar" becomes a routine that runs without you.
- React to things. Triggers wake a pal when something happens, like an email from your bank.
- Work as a team. Make a few pals with different jobs, and they hand work to each other.
- Remember. Pals keep notes about you, and save skills for the tasks they repeat.
You stay in charge
A pal that can do this much needs a clear line. Pals read and look things up on their own, but before one sends, posts, pays for or changes anything, it stops and asks you with a card in the chat. You approve it, deny it, or tell it not to ask about that kind of thing again.
You can write your own rules in plain words, like "when it wants to reply to an email, ask first", and a small model checks every risky action against them.
Where to get it
Pals runs on Mac and Windows, on iPhone and Android, and it's built into Robi Chat. It's free to start, with 50 messages a day, and a Robi Chat or Bleenk subscription lifts the limits.
Download Pals and make your first pal. It takes about a minute.
